Join Pattijean Hooper, Kirkland Emergency Manager, for an overview of volunteer participation opportunities during the Cascadia Rising drill in June. 

  
This is an overview meetingand the agenda will look something like this:

 
Overview
  • 5 minutes – to walk through the Tuesday through Friday city schedule and open EOC roles to volunteers in 2 hour slots
  • 15 minutes – Introduction of Saturday schedule
  • 10 minutes – Power Point visuals on the Conex box
  • 10 minutes – Introduction to roles of partners
    National Guard, Medical Reserve Corps, Field Innovation Team, KAN, FEMA Corps, Disabled Veterans, Alliance of People with Disabilities
  • Questions!
 
Roles
  • 20 minutes – Communication expectations:
    WA National Guard, CERT Leadership, ARES Leadership, the Emergency Operations Center (EOC)
  • 10 minutes - Introduction to technology that will be placed around the neighborhood
  • 10 minutes - Emergent volunteers
  • 5 minutes: Cameras, public information – and VIPs
