Kirkland CERT will host a booth at the Crossing Kirkland event on Saturday, September 8th.  Trained Kirkland CERT team members are needed to staff the CERT booth to talk with people about the CERT program and distribute handouts on emergency preparedness.

There will be two shifts and we need three people per shift.  The first shift is 10am to 1:30pm and includes setting up the booth.  The second shift is from 1pm to 4:30pm and includes packing up the booth after the event ends.

Volunteers should dress for the weather, bring sunscreen and drinking water, and be sure to wear your CERT vest and comfortable shoes.

What is Crossing Kirkland?

From the event website: Crossing Kirkland is a for-neighbors-by-neighbors citywide block party along the Cross Kirkland Corridor. The event debuted in 2017 and drew more than 1,500 visitors with a mix of food trucks, games, craft projects, community organizations, a climbing wall and jumpy house. In 2018, six neighborhood-sponsored stations will stretch from Feriton Spur (Google) in the south up to NE 112th Ave (Gold’s Gym) in the north. This year we’ll host local music acts, have a community mural project, and give out Kirkie awards for the most creative ways of traversing the CKC. (http://www.crossingkirkland.org/)
