Volunteers are needed for the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) final simulation drill on Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 1:00pm to 8:00pm at the Peter Kirk Community Center in downtown Kirkland .   This is the “final exam” for CERT students to demonstrate their search/rescue and first aid skills.

We need volunteers to set up the facility to make it look like a disaster has occurred.  This job will take about an hour and begins at 1:00pm.

We also need volunteer "victims”, who are assigned dramatic roles and specific injuries.  A professional make-up artist applies moulage make-up and prosthetics to realistically simulate injuries.  This is an all-day role.  "Victims" are scheduled to arrive between 1:00pm and 2:00pm and are expected to stay for the duration of the drill, which ends at 8:00pm.

Snacks are provided throughout the day, and a pizza dinner accompanies the de-briefing.

Participants must be 14 years old or older.  Students between 14 and 18 years old must have a signed consent form from their parents.

Confirmation, guidelines, a volunteer agreement, and further information will be e-mailed to you.
