Class Description:

Why suffer a culinary ordeal just because you are in the midst of a disaster?

Sure, you have a cache of freeze-dried foods, but how do you make them palatable?

The Greater Kirkland Citizen Corps Council is presenting “Cooking With Long-term Food Storage" with Monty Reed.

Monty will teach you how to cook freeze-dried food when the power is out. He will demonstrate making Tacos, Spaghetti, Chicken Teriyaki, Scrambled Eggs, No-Cook Chicken Salad, Peach Crisp, Macaroon Cookies and Milk.

In this hands-on class, you will cook the foods with him and have a chance to sample the dishes, too.

Monty will also discuss the nutritional value of freeze-dried foods and allow time for questions.

Fire Station #22
